Kigali, the Africa’s greenest and cleanest city, this Christmas the capital city of Rwanda has safeguarded its legacy despite the challenges imposed by COVID-19 pandemic.
A city from a predominantly Christian community, the decoration of Chrtistmas tree and all the symbols related to the bible’s description of the nativity of Jesus are a common style.
They characterize city streets, offices, shops, all public and private buildings, the churches and even homes.
That decoration is accompanied with sharing spirit; families in Rwanda love to come together on Christmas and by extension, the New Year.
This explains the reason of an increase of movements to/from Kigali during the festive season.
