On September 2, members of global conservation organisations will join Rwandans at Kinigi , Musanze district in Northern Rwanda for Kwita Izina -a grand annual gorilla naming ceremony.
During the ceremony 21 baby mountain gorillas will be named by various personalities. The naming ceremony  which began in 200 5, takes place at Kinigi, a village at the entrance of the Volcanoes National Park.
The event highlights the importance of protecting mountain gorillas as well as promoting the tourism industry.
