Genocide perpetrator apologises to the genocide survivors. One of the puzzle was to ask survivors to forgive

President Paul Kagame has explained how Rwanda solved the puzzle of reconciliation, justice, forgiveness and country reconstruction in the aftermath of the Genocide against Tutsi where over 1 million people were killed in 3 consecutive months- April-July 1994.

President Kagame, who was at the helm of Rwanda Patriotic Front(RPF) Inkotanyi which stopped the Genocide spoke to Brandon Stanton, an American author, photographer, and blogger, who is the curator of a famous campaign called “Humans of…”

Stanton’s work involves touring around the world to tell stories of all sorts that can help change the world.

He was recently in Rwanda where he spoke to several genocide survivors and narrated the challenges they went through to survive a genocide where several relatives perished, a story KT Press published.

President Kagame, though having fought and stopped the Genocide to save all Rwandans irrespective of their background, is also one of those Rwandans who lost a large number of biological family members.

The following are some of the quotes of President Kagame while talking to Brandon.
