President Paul Kagame has suspended Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana, Director General of Rwanda Biomedical Centre(RBC). pending investigation on accountability issues.
A communique released by Prime Minister’s office this evening reads that “Nsanzimana has been suspended from the position of Director General owing to matters of accountability under investigation.”
RBC, the key organ in health matters has been central in fighting challenges of the moment, including COVID-19.
Dr. Nsanzimana has been serving in this capacity since July 2019 when he replaced Dr. Jeannine Condo.
