Sacked: Rayon’s Masudi Djuma
After official statement issued by Rayon Sports on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 states that Masudi has been temporarily suspended by the club’s management due to poor performance, the team has appointed Lomami Marcel as interim head coach.
The last four games against Etoile de l’Est, Espoir and then the two rivals APR and Kiyovu Sport are the ones that cost Masudi his job.
A part from 3 points collected in the match against Etoile the l’Est, Masudi’s side lost two and had one draw against Espoir.
Rayon Sports currently sits on fourth position with 11 points, which is 5 points behind leading Kiyovu Sports.
The decision to suspend Masudi who was with the club since July was taken from a meeting that brought together the management and the club representative captain Muhire Kevin.
Taking over: Lomami Marcel
The meeting held a day after Rayon Sports lost 2-0 to Kiyovu Sports while in the previous 10 days they had lost 2-1 to APR FC.
Masudi Djuma was named as Rayon Sports head Coach for the second time in July this year, after coaching the club between 2016 and 2017,and helping them to win the Peace Cup and National Premier League.
