The Rwanda National cycling team finished first in the just concluded tour of Ivory Coast known as Tour de Cote d’Ivoire.

Janvier Hadi the team Rwanda captain cycled to the finish line in the final stage amerging as second overall in the general classification.

Rwanda was represented by Jeremie Karegeya, Janvier Hadi, Patrick Byukusenge, Joseph Aleluya, and Joseph Biziyaremye.

“We want to win. Our riders are on form right now and our target is to win,” Aimable Bayingana the President of Rwanda cycling federation had promised Rwandans last week before flagging off the cycling team.

The youthful Rwandan cyclists endured a 541km-Tour de Cote d’Ivoire cut out into six stages throughout the country. Tour de Cote d’Ivoire attracted 56 cyclists from over ten countries.
