Three Rwandan referees have been given roles to officiate at the forthcoming Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) and another for Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament.
The duo of FIFA licensed referees, Twagirumukiza Abdoul Karim and Ndagijimana Theogene will officiate at the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge tournament scheduled for 3rd – 17th December in Kenya.
Twagirumukiza will be a centre referee while Ndagijimana will officiate an assistant referees.
The duo will arrive in Nairobi, Kenya on 29th November and undergo medical and fitness tests the following day.
In a similar development, centre referee Louis Hakizimana has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.
Hakizimana also a certified FIFA referee will first head to Cairo, Egypt for a course between November 27th and December 1st 2017.
In Egypt, the appointed referees will undergo physical, theoretical and medical tests.
