The High Court has this morning adjourned to Thursday next week appeal on provisional detention hearing involving Diane Nshimiyimana Rwigara and her mother Adeline Mukangemanyi Rwigara.

Nshimiyimana requested court to postpone the hearing citing absence of her lawyer Pierre Celestin Buhuru.

Her mother Mukangemanyi did not appear in court. Her lawyer Gatera Gashabana told court that his client is sick and had filed a letter to court expressing her reason not to appear.

On Monday afternoon, October 23rd, Nyarugenge Intermediate Court remanded Mukangemanyi and her daughter Diane Nshimiyimana Rwigara to 30 days in prison.

The same Court granted bail for Anne Uwamahoro Rwigara. The trio had been battling pre-trial hearing in which they are accused of inciting insurrection.

But Mukangemanyi and Nshimiyimana face separate charges; Divisionism for Mukangemanyi and forgery for Nshimiyimana Rwigara.
