New: Igor Mabano

Musicians Bruce Melody, Igor Mabano, Charly na Nina are the new faces to entertain local music fanatics at Rwanda Day in Germany come 5th October for the first time.

Rwanda Day has been dominated by the same faces for years by celebrated artists like Meddy, Alpha, The Ben and King James and Teta Diana. But this year the organizers replaced them with young talented music stars.

The move has been praised by local music enthusiasts both living in the country and abroad, calling it a smart move to promote local music as well as giving platform to other artists apart from the usual ones.

“I don’t see a big change but the idea is good and I wish to see new faces entertaining diaspora community every year,” says artists manager Alex Muyoboke.

“It’s a good initiative to see new artists performing at Rwanda Day, but to me I would like to see artists with songs promoting government development programs included,” says Radio personality Joel Rutaganda.

“Am happy to see my favorite artists Jules Sentore and Charly na Nina performing live in Germany and I wish next time to see Isano Alyn also,” Dinah Keza living in Germany said.
