President Paul Kagame in Qatar for Information Technology Conf, Exhibition

President Paul Kagame has arrived in Doha where he is expected to attend the Qatar Information Technology Conference and Exhibition hosted by the Qatar Ministry of Transport and Communication, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad, the Emir of Qatar.

The conference is considered as the largest Information and Communication Technology showcase and event in Qatar – from 29th October to 1st November 2019 under the theme “Safe Smart Cities”.

“Featuring over 90 speakers, 300 technology exhibitors, 100 startups and 300 innovators and entrepreneur, QITCOM 2019 will be a one-stop-shop for participants to showcase disruptive smart technologies and exchange next-generation knowledge,” writes the organizing team.

Smart City Expo Doha 2019 aims to gather Smart City experts from all around the world to discuss and think of possible solutions to the challenges cities are facing nowadays by means of innovation and new technologies that are advancing the urban future.

Alongside President Paul Kagame, other key speakers include but are not limited to Andy Purdy from Huwaei Technology Chief Security officer, Daniel Sumner, Director Bus Strategy Gov – Corp at Microsoft, Said Esfahani, Chief Informations Officer at Qatar Airways, among many other dignitaries.
