Rayon Sports dropped further points on Wednesday as they parted 2-2 with Espoir FC in Rusizi.

Essombe Willy Onana gave Rayon Sports a lead in the 22nd minute with his fourth goal of the season but they visitors found themselves behind after Fred Muhozi scored two goals before halftime.

Clément Niyigena pulled the visitors level in the 54th minute while Abouba Bashunga saved a Drissa Dagnogo penalty in the dying moments of the game.

AS Kigali kept a hold of the no.1 spot with a victory against Gicumbi. Ramadhan Niyibizi put them in front before Ernest Sugira added another goal in the first half while Axel Iradukunda scored a consolation for the hosts.

Elsewhere, a long-range effort from Muhadhiri Hakizimana was enough to see Police FC pocketing all the three points against Marines FC.

In Rubavu, Kiyovu Sports registered an important victory against Etincelles thanks to goals from Abedi Bigirimana and Eric Ngendahimana.

In another action on Wednesday, Gasogi United dropped further down the table as suffered their first defeat of the season losing 1-0 to Etoile de l’Est.

Meanwhile, APR’s games against Mukura VS was postponed to allow the reigning champions enough time to prepare for the CAF Champions League second-leg encounter with RS Berkane.
